What is Dolce and Gabbana Makeup?
The creators are the ones and only Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. I don’t think these men need an introduction.
To be honest I haven’t really tried a lot from this brand. Mainly because the pricing is quite high. But this golden compact powder really grabbed my attention. I am a strong believer in expensive powder compacts as they are the ones you mostly take out in public, and that last you for ages.
The packaging is minimalistic, yet very classy.
It has a very luxurious feel about it, and the fact that it is also quite a heavy compact, adds to this. Opening it up you get a nice big mirror, the product itself and a compartment for the puff. I say compartment, because for some reason there was no puff itself in mine.
The description call this powder a foundation, however I think that it is better off used as a simple powder for touch ups. The coverage is very light and will definitely not cover any imperfections by itself.
The formulae is very soft, however quite dry, and may underline dry spots on your face.
It is a pretty powder, but to be honest the formulae didn’t really impress me. And for the price tag, I want to be impressed. I wouldn’t recommend it, but I don’t think it is the worst product out there.
